Please note this important information below for our wildflower hike at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park.
CELL PHONE SERVICE IN THE PARK CAN BE DIFFICULT. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THIS INTINERAY HANDY FOR MEETING LOCATIONS AND TIMES.
Hike: We are planning on hiking the Meadow Trail and Vista Trail Loop. The total hike is 4 miles with 850 ft elevation gain. We are planning for a pace of 2 hours total for this hike. For those who want to challenge themselves, there are additions available to extend on distance.
Meeting Schedule and Locations:
Carpooling: For those who want to carpool in, meet at the Palooza Brewery parking lot at 9:30 a.m. Address is 8910 Sonoma Hwy in Kenwood. Please prepare to pay $10 per vehicle if no parking pass available.
For those who want to take their own car in, meet us at the park Welcome Center at 10:00 a.m. Note my comment about cell phone service. Please prepare to pay $10 per vehicle if no parking pass available.
Park Meeting Location: We will meet at the Welcome Center and walk to the trail entrance. Meet at the Welcome Center at 10 a.m.
Weather: THIS EVENT WILL BE CANCELLED IF THERE IS RAIN. CHECK YOUR EMAIL BOTH FRIDAY NIGHT & SATURDAY AM EARLY FOR AN UPDATE ON THE WEATHER.
What to bring: Bring at least a quart of water, snacks, camera, wear sturdy boots, and extra layers.
Post hike fun: After the hike we will depart for the Palooza Brewery, located just to the south from Adobe Canyon Road (entrance road to Sugarloaf). It is estimated that we will arrive to the restaurant around 12:30.
