Tis the season to harvest a beautiful Christmas tree in the mountains! The US Forest Service sells permits that allow you to cut a Christmas Tree within designated areas of the Tahoe National Forest. Join us at the lodge for a fun weekend ringing in the holidays.
SATURDAY:
Late morning: We’ll all head out together to cut our trees down.
Afternoon: Depending on winter conditions - snowplay, snowshoe, ski/board.
SUNDAY:
On your own - snowplay, snowshoe, ski/board.

Permit fee to cut a tree up to 20 ft = $10

WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR TREE CUTTING -
-Pre-purchase your tree cutting permit. You need to print this and bring it with you.
-Vehicle that can transport a tree. Small tree, small vehicle. Large tree, large vehicle (i.e. truck with rack)
-Tie-downs
-Handsaw, chainsaw
-Rope, straps and tarp to help haul out your tree
-Snowshoes (if there’s a lot of snow!)
MEALS - Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast provided. Food cost per person will be sent out to participants prior to the event.
*Payable by cash, check or Venmo at the event.
LODGING - MIPs $30 per night and guests $40 per night.

Ski Club members-in-process $30/night.
Guests who are not in the membership process - $40 per night

Assume $TBD/day for breakfast, fixings for a bag lunch, appetizers and dinner. Everyone participates in meal prep and cleanup.

Happy New Year!!! IT‘S TIME TO HIT THE SLOPES! COME STAY AT THE SANTA ROSA SKI CLUB LODGE. The food cost is $20 per day and can be pro-rated based on the days you come to the event. Guest fees apply. All snow sports are welcome. Come Ring in the NEW YEAR!!! Ski Week starts at 4:00 PM on Sunday 12/31 and ends at 9:00 AM on Thursday 1/4.
